Wrist and ankle question?

Question
I'm a 16 year old female, and I do drink a lot of milk, water and try to exercise or stretch daily. I do have a question about my wrist and ankles though. When you rotate them in a circular motion, are they supposed to feel and make a little sound, they aren't in any pain though. I've just never really been observant, and only recently noticed, is that normal?

Answer
Hi Layla,

If your joints don't hurt then those sounds are generally referred to as "benign crepitus."  My own knees have crackled for many years when I bend down, but they never hurt.

Sometimes you can reduce the crackling by releasing some of the soft-tissue around the joint.  I show people how to do so on my free website,
Do-It-Yourself-Joint-Pain-Reli璭f.com,
http://www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/

My Wrist Pain Relief Page is here,

And my Ankle Pain Relief page is here,
http://www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/ankle-joint-pain-relief.html

Again, I know you're not in pain, but if you release some tight tissue that is yanking on your wrists or ankles
it may decrease the crackling when you use the joint.

I do hope this helps.

All the best,
Gary Crowley
