QuestionI can't decide if I want to be a chiropractor or a physical therapist. Can you tell me what is the different between these two? Why did you choose this job? Although I really want to become a chiropractor, I'm a little bit skeptical about the profession. And since I'm not american, I wonder if people will trust me when I work on them.
Answerit is the difference between trying to manipulate the effects of health problems and correcting the cause of health problems. i chose the chiropractic profession because, having grown up in a family of chiropractors and being a lifelong chiropractic patient, i know there is nothing like it. i know how much it helps get sick people well and how desperately the world needs it. sometimes race or national origin can influence people somewhat, but if so, it's effect will likely fade quickly and be replaced by their opinion of your character and competence based on their experience.there are exceptions, of course, but i think most people soon get a fair idea of what you're about. if you truly care about them getting better, if you're competent, if you're honest, if you're not just in it for the money or position, etc. what is most important is that you know that you are these things, then others will respond. those that don't aren't worth wasting your time on.
