Question
Hello,

I've never been to a chiropractor but I have some questions about a certain condition that I developed about a year ago and I'm wondering if you might know what it is or if a chiropractor might be able to help.
I'm 17 years old and I have a condiotion that some people think it's specific to the skin (Psoriasis) afew months ago I learned that this is actually an internal problem that starts in the interstine through seepage of toxins into the system which the body can not expel so this crusty appearance on the skin develops due to the skin trying rid itself of toxins after all other organs failed to.

Some people with Psoriasis also have a certain type of arthritis and there is a very small percent who have a spinal arthritis (as I do)
It stiffens the spine and the person feels very uncomfortable and unable to move freely..

For the past year I have not experienced any symptoms but for about a year my shoulder started hurting me, My right shoulder felt like it was hanging forward slightly and I could snap it backwards but the more I snapped the more it hurt, another weird thing is that my collar bone (I believe that is what it's called) below my neck the 2 balls that kind of stick out, one is so much bigger than the other.

Just afew days ago my whole collar bone started itching a lot (the right one) today it is swollen under it, could be from the itching that I've been doing yesterday but it's quite red and swollen. The ball has always been bigger than the other but this time there is a swelling under the collar bone.

My shoulder does not stay "up" like the other one, sometimes I feel like I have to gently twist my arm to get it back in place and sitting in one place for a long time can really make it feel uncomfortable.

do you have any advice for me?
Do you think a chiropractor would help? I do not like taking medications or going to doctors, I did not have very good experiences in the past and I like natural things, I'm now on a natural diet that is really helping to take the toxins out of my body and my psoriasis is feeling much better, the doctor that designed this diet is also a chiroprator and he developed the treatment from reading medical material from another doctor who lived in the 40's (Edgar Cayce)
Dr. John A. Pagano guarantees that even psoritic arthritis can be cured with this diet if all the toxins are removed from the body, he also recommends chiropractic treatment to the spine, something about shiffting a certain spinal bone that will aid in digestion (he says people with psoriasis have abit of this problem)

For now I'm wondering about the shoulder,  I  hope you can give me some advice.

Thanks!

Answer
A good experienced chiropractor might be able to help with gentle treatment to relieve undue stress on the shoulders, spine, and other joints.  I would especially suggest you investigate the effects of your diet on your condition, and would strongly encourage you to read the book "The Inflammation Syndrome" by Jack Challem.  You can find it on Amazon.com, also see his website at stopinflammation.com.
