QuestionDear Dr. Burnham:
I am considering a career in chiropractic.
(1) What are the pros and cons of such a career in today's healthcare environment?
(2) How much do chiropractors typically make?
(3) What are your thoughts about the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic?
Thank you!
Will Rogers
Answerthere are a lot of good things. you become able to help people who have a great variety of health problems, often that others, including the "recognized experts" have failed to help. if in solo practice, you may set your own hours. the profession is not physically demanding, pays well and is very rewarding as you see people's lives changed for the better. in general, income ranges from about fifty to one-fifty. i am not familiar with that college. most do a fair job of preparing you to pass your boards. preparing to help get sick well is another matter, and is something you must have the interest to search out and learn on your own.
