QuestionI started with a chiropractor that contracts with my insurance. His office is about 27 miles away. I had 6 treatment sessions with him. He used a number of different possitions - on my back and adjusted my neck - on my back and he did the bear hug with my arms folded ofer my chest and his fist at my back and applied pressure - laid on my side with my hips and shoulders different while he did an adjustment. He gets very good results with popping and cracking or releasing. He is strong and firm and I felt good while in his care.
I changed to a local chiropractor because the drive was getting old and and I got tired of it. I wonder if I made the correct choice because this local guy only adjusts my neck (with not as many pops or cracks) while on my back. While I am on my stomach he puts pressure on my spine between my shoulders. I like not driving so far but I am asking your opinion regarding the outcomes of the treatment. Should I bite the bullet and drive? Both offices do the electric stimulation therapy.
Answerwether or not you temporarily feel good as a result of therapies of any kind, you should know that the purpose of chiropractic is CORRECTING THE CAUSE OF NERVE INTERFERENCE. THAT'S IT. PERIOD. to do this requires PRECISE correction of the upper neck for your specific atlas misalignment which produces your interference pattern. the other therapy stuff generally doesn't do harm (i don't use/need or want it), but at minimum you are supposed to receive CORRECTION. all too often the other stuff ends up, not being an adjunct to, but a substitute for, genuine correction. there is NOTHING THAT GETS RESULTS LIKE CORRECTING THE CAUSE. i recommend you seek out an HIO METHOD chiropractor.
