QuestionI have severe depression and have been to counteless doctors, councelors, psychologists, psychiatrists ect. I figured it is just something I will have to live with, since nothing seems to help. But recently I went to a chiropractor for headaches and got immediate relief. My question is, can depression have any thing to do with the spine, rather than a psychosomatic problem in the brain?
AnswerHello Trish,
Chiropractic can definately help. When you are in pain all the time, pain can be a contributing factor. Chiropractic adjustments help reduce pressure on the spine and can many beneficial qualities. Diet and exercise are also an important part, especially endurance activities running biking etc... Omega 3 supplementation EPA/DHA fatty acids may help too.
Hope this information helps!
