QuestionMy wife has had constant noise in her right ear and funny taste with unusual feelings in her mouth and teeth. She also has a severe pain at the base of her skull. When this happens she will begin to have moderate to severe vertigo. We have not been able to pinpoint any exact relationships with this occurence. It can and does just happen.
She has had several weeks in 1997 that this completely disabled her. She was bedridden for several weeks with one of them in the hospital. We were told it was a staff infection of a cranial nerve.
Since this occurence she has had thyroid cancer with the removal of her thyroid and many lymph nodes that were cancerous.
We have seen ENT both local and at Duke Hospital as well as many test (MRI-Cat Scans)and many and varied doctors (ent, nuerologist).
No one has been able to help her releive any of these symptoms. Any suggestions?
AnswerIf she's never seen a chiropractor, I'd give it a try. There could be some problems between the occiput (base of the skull) and the first one or two cervical vertebrae.
If your wife was told she had a staph infection, what did they do about it? And how did she get it? Needles, open wound...without knowing her history, that sounds a little off to me.
If you need help looking for a chiropractor, let me know. There are good listings online and through colleges, depending on what you're looking for.
Hope this helps!
