QuestionHi Michael,
Thank you for taking my question. I have moderate muscle pain/discomfort when rotating my neck side to side. This can limit my range of motion slightly. These symptom at times accompany slight weakness of the legs and hands. All nerve conduction tests and MRIs of spine/brain are negative. Is there anything I can do at home to increase the range of motion and lessen the pain/discomfort in my neck? Can a chiropractor help to treat this specific symptom?
Thanks again!
AnswerPete,
Thanks for your question and I hope that I can provide some help.
Before trying anything at home, I would suggest a visit with a chiropractor for him to check this problem out and see if it is a chiropractic problem. I would say definitely the range of motion will be benefitted from chiropractic treatment. The weakness in the hands and legs is not that uncommon to see and often improves with chiropractic manipulation as well.
A thorough chiropractic examination will be able to detect the cause of this motion and weakness problem. The MRI and other tests showed nothing as these tests are performed to find "large" problems. Often times it is a minor problem that continues for some time and results in major pain or symptoms. This may just be your case.
See a chiropractor and see what they can do for you.
God Bless,
