QuestionIf I stand on one leg, keep it perfectly straight, and bend forward 90 degrees at the waist---my hamstring or something in the back of my leg cracks similar to cracking a knuckle. Do you know what causes that? Is it bad for you? Thanks----Carlos
AnswerHello Carlos,
Most of the time it is the tendon snapping over the bone or another tendon, due to tight hamstrings. This usually is of no significance but is a sign of tight muscles. Stretching and soft tissue massage may resolve the clicking.
