QuestionHello Michael, i have suffered with a bad back for years but lately i have had pain beginning at the top of my neck travelling down my shoulder blade nissing out my middle back but hurting again in my lower back. I try the simplest of exercises to relieve this but even this hurts. I recently recieved a tai massage and after feeling something click my back was relieved for a while however the pain returned. Do you think a visit to a chiropractor would benefit me at all?
AnswerVictoria,
Thanks for the question and I hope I can help.
Yes, I would recommend an evaluation and treatment with a chiropractor. It is obvious to me that based on your explanation of what happened after your massage you are having some mechanical pressures in the spine. These mechanical joint dysfunctions will lead to various symptoms of back and neck pain, spasm, etc.. Many times you will simply require a series of adjustments to resolve and correct the mechanical dysfunction and return the joints back to normal. Then your exercise will help, instead or hurt.
God Bless,
