QuestionI have been sitting for 4 years at work without the use of a headset hense holding the telephone between my right shoulder and my right ear with my head cocked to one side approximately 5 hours a day. I suffer with ocasional migraine, occasional coital headaches, Benign paroxymal positional virtgo and also have suffered with dibilitating lower back pain to a point of being hospitalised from passing out with the pain, I also feel like my neck needs to "crack" and this causes a considerable amount of aching. I am at my wits end and wondered if a chiropractor might be able to assist. I have been advised to have some injections by the doctor but prefer not to go down this route if avoidable.
AnswerKatherine,
Thanks for the question. You definitely need to seek consult with a chiropractor asap. Noone can sit down everyday and do what you do without experiencing spinal misalignment, fixation and subluxation problems. These problems can and will all lead to postural distortion and mechanical pressures on spinal joint, soft tissues, and nerves. The end result can obviously be all of the symptoms you are experiencing.
Also, GET A HEADSET!!! This is a no-brainer and can easily end the cause of the problem. You have figured out that part of it, now do your part to help fix it.
See a chiropractor and see what he thinks. Injections may help with pain, but will really do nothing to solve the origin of the problem.
I hope this helps.
God Bless,
