QuestionHi,
I had my first consultation with a chiropractor last week (for a left sided neck/shoulder whiplash injury). I has electrodes on my shoulders for 10 minutes which was fine but within seconds of starting using ultrasound to that area I felt intensley dizzy and passed out. It was sudden, intense and I felt unwell afterwards. He said it wasn't the same as a "normal" faint. Any ideas what it was or how it happened?
Thanks for you help,
Anya
AnswerAnya,
Thanks for the question. This is difficult to discern having not evaluated you or been there to see what type of treatment was performed. As I don't know the specifics of your condition, I really cannot give you a reason for why this would happen. I do know that this is a serious matter and not something that should be taken lightly.
It could have simply been due to pain, or something more seriously. I have never seen this happen or heard of it happening with a patient.
I would recommend some additional testing to determine if anything else is going on.
I hope this helps and I hope all goes well.
