Questionthe point of that email when I asked about the muscle building in the back, was because I just wanted to simply verify that...yes, lifting the wrong way is bad because it can kill a disc, but it's still gonna build back muscle. not that im asking for a recommendation Im just making sure there isnt some sort of special thing going on with lower back muscle where it somehow just wont build (unless its done with spinal injury prevention techniques).
So, again, the lower back muscles will build in muscle strength if theyre used...right OR wrong technique...yes? (I mean, theyre muscles, they have the same properties as the other muscles used to lift except are weaker...and could therefore be potentially hurt/weakened easier, but when not being hurt will strengthen when strained... )?
AnswerHello Jeff,
You may want to see a doctor of chiropractic for a exam. You have to realize everyone is biomechanically different! Improper postioning for one person maybe correct for another. A exam of your spine and determining the weaknesses along the spine will determine what areas to strengthen and what exercises to avoid. I'm sure you will have great success with this and will point you in the right direction for a life long strong spine. After the exam your questions can be answered specifically and more acurately for your particular spine.
Let me know how it goes.
