Pain on the top of my wrist...

Question
Hello Dr. O'Brien:

I have had pain on the top part of my wrist for about a year now and it doesn't seem to want to go away.  I only get the pain when I bend my hand back or forward with pressure.  For example, doing push ups is no longer in my exercise regimine.  Specifically this pain is roughly in the center part of the top portion of my wrist.  I am not sure what to do about this...can you help? Thank you in advance for taking my question.

Answer
Hello Frank,

You may have a subluxation of a bone in the wrist (small bones can move out of place), or the tendons inserting into the wrist can also cause this pain.  You may want to have a doctor of chiropractic perform a exam to determine exactly what the cause is.  Then a treatment plan can be established.

Have a great night,
Dr. Brendon O'Brien D.C.
