QuestionI was just wondering what the negative and positive if any, effects of cracking your back may be? Also is there a safe way to do it at home?
Thanks
Ryan
AnswerRyan-
As with any treatment, there are potential negative effects. If you are interested in going to a chiropractor, I would suggest that you inquire with him/her as to the potential side effects of the particular care they would consider delivering (many different chiropractic techniques out there, each with it's own set of potential negatives).
As for the positive effects, these are also too numerous to mention. Suffice to say, chiropractic is the third largest health care profession, behind medical doctors and dentistry. Millions of people realize benefit from this type of care, and it's doubtful they're ALL wrong... :-)
No, it's not safe to do it at home. I had six years of schooling to learn how to "crack backs". If anyone wants to put their body in the hands of anything less, well, I suppose that's their choice - but it's a bad idea.
