QuestionHave had a problem with lower back now for 6 days...2 days ago had a physio come and do an adjustment to the low back area...sacral?? ... there were 2 joints that were out of alignment and the physio adjusted them then put tape across the low back.
Since then I am still having pain ..... its like an electrical pain that i feel up my back and i am still having problems sitting down and stiffness.....how long will it take to be free of this pain?....it feels like my coccyx is squashing down onto the seat so I am very uncomfortable....is there anything that i can do to relieve this trouble?..should i have it xrayed? ...can these joints cause me to be crippled? ...i am scared because the physio said 24 hour i should be feeling better but that is not the case....are there any exercises that i can do that will help this to settle..and how can i tell if the joints have stayed in place?
Looking forward to your reply as this is scaring me .
AnswerFirst of all THE ONLY professional that is qualified to give an adjustment is a Doctor of Chiropractic. I am not blaming you whatsoever, I am just merely stating a fact that you should be aware of. Second, you are lucky that this was in the lower spine as opposed to the upper spine. If this person "messed you up" at least you won't suffer any long term or disabling damage. Which could have happened if an unqualified individual attempted to adjust your upper spine where the brain stem resides and where the spinal cord itself is thickest because of the many nerves in that area.
How did the person know that there were two joints out of alignment? Did they take an X-Ray? That is the only way that they could definitively make that statement.
You should go to a Doctor of Chiropractic that X-Rays the spine and focuses on subluxation correction. This is how you can be well. If you would like help in choosing which Doctor may be right for you, I can help you. Just respond to
