QuestionThere is a rumble noise I can make in the back of my head (between my ears.) I can voluntarily make the noise happen by just thinking about it. It sounds almost like quiet thunder. I can make it last for 6 or 7 seconds, but usually for only a few seconds. I am just curious about what this is.

I have no idea from the info given. With an examination and closer questioning, a doc might be able to give you a good theory.
Examples might be subconscious tightening of suboccipital muscles causing a crepitus in the atlanto-occipital cartilage or simple awareness of a bruit in the artery.
These are purely speculative. It is too vague as it stands.
