QuestionI have had shoulder pain and neck pain since my son was 1, he is now 2. Sometimes it is very severe especially when I am stressed. When I had the neck pain a year ago, I went to a ears nose and throat doctor + had a physical and everything was fine. It comes and goes, but what is frustrating, is that It makes it difficult for me to breath. Its like my entire upper back is one knot. It is mostly on the left side next to my shoulder blade towrds the middle of my back. I cant sleep. It was suggested by the doctor I saw a year ago to see a chiropractor, but I felt better, now I am suffering again. Should I see a chiropractor?
AnswerHi stacy,
This sounds very much like a rib injury. The articulation with the spine and under the shoulder blade bothers the breathing, the shoulder area and is a pain. I've had it myself.
A chiropractic doctor is the best way to go. They will get that area free and suggest some stretching and activities at home to allow it to rehabilitate.
Hope this helps.
