QuestionHi...thanks for your time....I have a recurring problem on the right side of my back....I call it my "knife in the kidney" pain...fortunately I don't have it more than I do, but I can't say when it started...last night it was so bad I could barely move & couldn't take a deep breath...it is right where I imagine my kidney is, maybe a little higher...appears as a sharp stabbing pain on movement or breathing...it's awful...my chiro (whom I think the world of) uses that little gizmo to knock things back in place...she can tell by feeling where I am sore, and when she touches that area I about scream...I saw her today...she said I was really really sore & did her thing, but it's no better & it keeps coming back. Any ideas?
Thanks again for your time...have a great afternoon.

AnswerHi Carol,
I saw your question in the question pool and would like to give you some advice. First and foremost a kidney problem such as infection must be ruled out. A simple urine "dip stick" test can identify this issue. It checks for blood in the urine and other indicators that may prompt further work-up. Letting this go much longer can lead to serious complications. E-mail me if you wish, If I had ore information, I could tell from a good history what it is, I just need to ask a few more questions.
