QuestionQUESTION: I'm getting a tingle on the left side. I mainly feel it in my foot/lower leg area and also some in my left arm/hand (fingers). I've been to a orthopedic doctor because of neck / upper back and shoulder pain. After a couple of visits he decided to do an MRI and found I had a couple
of herniated discs in the cervical part of my spine and maybe one in the lower part (i cant recall). He also said my body showed alot of wear for someone my age(32yomale).He basically said to deal with it.Which is fine , I don't want to do surgery. While I was seeing him he asked about tingling which at the time I did not have. The tingle I get
occurs mostly when sitting and sometimes when I'm active (basketball). I'm wondering if this is something that could be checked / treated by a chiropractor. I also think its strange that its only on the left side, do you find that odd?
ANSWER: No, actually that is not odd at all that the tingling is only on the left side. It is actually a good sign that it is only on one side. This is very common and occurs when a spinal bone is out of alignment and interfering with the nervous system. Orthopedic Doctors, Physical Therapists, Medical Doctors, Osteopaths, and even Neurologists are not trained in the detection and correction of this problem. The only Doctors in the world with this type of training and expertise are Doctors of Chiropractic. So yes, you should go and see a Chiropractor and have this checked out.
Now, I am very particular with who I choose as a Chiropractor because it literally can make the difference between getting better and getting worse. The problem is not Chiropractic at all, but sometimes the Chiropractor's application of the science, philosophy, and art of chiropractic.
If you would like my further assistance, please send me your town and state, so I could find you a qualified doctor that is principled.
If not, at least choose a Doctor that focuses on correcting the vertebral subluxation as the main thing (if possible the only thing)in practice.
