Question
I apologize in advance for having so many questions, however I do not know
who else to turn to for answers.  I recently moved in with my boyfriend.  I
have a dog, and we ended up getting another dog.  Since we got our new
puppy, his sinuses have gotten a lot worse.  I actually notice as well that I
have been getting a runny nose and sneezing a lot along with watery eyes.  
My boyfriend has all of the above symptoms, but also has noticed sometimes
he feels itchy, and he has a lot of sinus congestion and post nasal drip.  Our
house also is under construction (my boyfriend is doing it himself after work
and weekends so it will be going on for another 2-3 months..possibly longer
since we are so tired all the time).  Would a chiropractor be able to help us so
that we do not need to get rid of our dog?  How often must one go to the
chiropractor?  How soon may we see and feel results?  My boyfriend does not
want to have adjustments done...is it possible to opt out of that, but still have
some results...what is the point of adjustments?  Do you know how we could
find a doctor who practices this type of medicine?  I am now living in
Levittown, PA 19057. I had previously found a website with people listed in
each state but I can no longer find it.

You should be able to keep the dogs and both improve if you see an upper cervical chiropractor.  I used to have the same problem as well as other health problems and I had become completely well after about 4 months of being under this care.  
The whole premise is simple:  a nervous system interference, caused by a spinal bone being out of place, disrupts proper function in the body.  This leads to sickness, disease, symptoms eventually death.  
By having the subluxation (term for the misaligned spinal bone interfering with the nervous system)corrected, the body is now afforded the opportunity to regain normal function, therfore your internal resistance is raised.
It is not the dogs that are the problem, it is your bodies that are functioning at a lower level and allowing the dog hair to bother you.
Another thing to note, this does not treat any particular symptoms, so any abnormal function in the body has the opportunity to be corrected.
As I mentioned earlier, I had bad allergies to animals, asthma, headaches, and sinus problems.  They all cleared up after being under this care and this was something that drugs could never do for me, so I decided to become an Upper Cervical Chiropractor and I love it!
Here is a list of some UC Doctors in your state.  Each doctor will have their own fees and care plan for you but ideally you should be sure that they use some sort of nervous system measuring device and do not adjust you on every visit, if they do that is a red flag telling you that you are in the wrong place.
