QuestionHi there,
I have recently had problems with my neck, and had some osteo help and trigger point massage. But unfortunately the problem seems to have gotten Worse.
It started as a pain in the right side of my neck that seemed to be causing a constant numb headache radiating into the front of my head and my temples.
Since my last treatment (which included a manipulation of my upper neck) over the last week the pain has escilated. Now, when ever i lean forward i feel a very sharp, shooting, throbing (unbearable) pain @ the very top of my neck where the spine meets the head. Yesterday i also began to feel nauseus and my ears have been getting more and more blocked and i have a weird humming in my head?? I also have pain in the middle of my back and when i move it makes small clicking noises.
I have been becoming more and more sick and feel like i have to lie down...
Can you please tell me whether i should be seeing a doctor or going back to my massage therapist?? (< specialises in osteo and trigger point)
Thank you for your consideration.
AnswerHi cindy,
You should decidedly see a doctor. You need to determine whether there is any pathology going on. It may be stress and or nerve irritation from the spine. But it could be worse.
Chiropractic or medical, this should be evaluated immediately. No massage or any treatment until a good exam. Tell them all of the symptoms that you've mentioned above.
