QuestionHi,
I went to an osteopath for treatment and he adjusted my neck. Afterward I
couldn't stand
(my right side went limp). I got back on the table and he adjusted again. I
didn't feel right
afterward.
Later that day I started having dizziness. The next morning I fell getting out
of bed and
was weak, dizzy, blurred vision and out of it all day. Same thing the next day.
I called the
doctor and he said it was normal and just showed something was working.
That day I had such a horrible vertigo experience, my tongue went numb and
I went to the
ER. They found bone spurs and neck spasms. Could the bone spurs have
caused this? Is it
safe to be adjusted in the future- my doctor says no but the osteopath says
it's fine.
Thanks!
Jen
AnswerJen,
DO NOT LET THE OSTEOPATH ADJUST YOUR NECK AGAIN!!! You may have experienced a "transient ischemic attack" or TIA, and this is like a precurser to a stroke. Your bone spurs have nothing to do with your tongue going numb or the vertigo. Your osteopath needs to go back to school...
'Good luck with this.
