QUESTION: I read in chiropractic journal about a facial manipulation that released trapped sinus fluids down the throat of the patient. He was suffering from chonic bouts of nasea for years and the release of the built up pressure and fluids worked wonders for him. What is the name of the procedure and may I have more information please?

I apologize but I have never heard of any facial bone manipulations to release trapped sinus fluids.  Just so you know, Chiropractic is associated with the nervous system and the spinal column, and anything outside of that would certainly not be considered an adjustment but possibly a manipulation.  There is something that we learned in school known as extremity adjusting which is the manipulation of the areas outside of the spine such as the fingers, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, legs, ankles, feet, and toes.
In the Upper Cervical Specific Work that I practice exclusively, we have seen many patients have their sinuses drain or clear up immediately after the adjustment which takes place at the Atlas or Axis (C1 or C2 Vertebra).
If you are looking for help from an Upper Cervical Specialist that can help you then reply with your town and state, otherwise I would not be able to help you to locate someone who manipulates the facial bones, as I could not recommend anyone who does this in their practice.  At that point you may want to ask a person who specializes in Extremity Manipulations.
