QUESTION: I had an initial consultation with a very experienced chiro and was very impressed. I was going to go for my first session. However my assessment seems to have set off terrible symptoms of my fibromyalgia and fatigue. I have high CRP, WBC counts, Creatinine and I only recently started to be able to walk again after needing to use a disability buggy. I have lopsided gait and one calf bigger than the other, some painful discs which radiate pain around my ribs and a very painful right hipm and weak left ankle. I didn't realise how I was going to react but it is nearly a week and I am bedridden with the pain and fatigue and my breathlessness is back, the pain is nearly everywhere even down to my fingertips. I dare not go back for my treatment and I am very disappointed. Could you perhaps tell me why I have had this reaction? Am I just too full of inflammation or do you think my Dr is missing some undrlying condition?

QUESTION: Hiya
You mention ''Brainstem-Upper Cervical Specific Work'' I am not familiar with this, the gentleman has been a Chiropracto for over 30 years so I shall ask him if he can do it. I would love to come to you however unfortunately I am residing in the UK East Coast so that is impossible.
Have you ever heard of ordinary Chiropractic care triggering CFS into a worse state before? I spoke to this gentleman today and he said it had happened to him only 3 times in all the time he had been practicing.

ANSWER: Dawn,
It certainly is possible, you see, just how I can help you to get better and to improve your health by correcting nervous system interference, I can also cause health problems if what I do is incorrect.  If a person gets the wrong directional force or gets over adjusted, these things can happen.  The trick is to have specific work done so that the worst thing that can happen is that you get underadjusted and that is way better than getting over adjusted.  We use a thermoscribe in our office and do pattern work so that we know when you need to be adjusted and when you dont.  It truly makes all the difference in the world, so much so, that I would not be a practicing doctor if I did not have that instrumentation.

There is nobody in England that is doing the work.  There was one girl that I sent a patient to and she does not have the proper equipment that is necessary.  This person started with this doctor but is having trouble now and is in the process of coming to our clinic in the next few months.  I am sorry but this care originated in America and that is where the doctors are at this time.
