QuestionQUESTION: Hello, there are various CES devices on the market (Alpha-Stim, BT-7, CES Ultra). In your opinion which one would be the better one for anxiety/OCD? Does it make a difference to use 0.5 Hz vs. 100 Hz? Thank you!
ANSWER: Alex,
I apologize but I would not be the best person to ask this question to. You see, as an Upper Cervical Specific Doctor of Chiropractic I am interested only in the detection and correction of nervous system interference. This is what the profession was founded upon and this is what gets sick people well. Modalities although used by most chiropractors is simply not chiropractic and is not what gets sick people well.
If you are having trouble with OCD/Anxiety I would highly recommend having your nervous system checked by an upper cervical specific doctor that can help to locate and correct the cause of your abnormal function which is really what you want anyway.
Modalities can feel good and help you get through a healing process from an injury but they do not heal you only your body can heal itself, and when there is no nerve interference it can do that in the most efficient manner possible.

QUESTION: Thank you very much for the great feeback! From you experience what is a success rate among the patients with severe OCD symptoms when they are treated with these moda;ities? Each patient is different, but in average how long does it take to see some positive results from the treatment and how long for the complete remission?
How often would patients need to come back to see if the treatment is working? Again thanks a lot!
AnswerAlex,
That is a very difficult question to ask me because the truth is I don't know. In other words, I have seen a patient with severe OCD symptoms show much improvement in as little as 3 days and I have seen some patients show their improvement in 6 months. What I can tell you is this: there have been a handful of patients with OCD that have not had any improvement under our care but the simple reason was the fact that these were patients that for one reason or another were not able to follow the treatment recommendations.
So, although this specific care offers hope and possibility for you, I think that it is only fair for you to understand that if you are unable to follow the recommendations that are required of you, your results will suffer and they will suffer to the exact degree that you have altered your care. But most importantly, I would suggest to you as I do to all others that if you are not able or willing to commit to what is required of you, then there really is no sense in getting started in the first place because you will not have the best chance to receive the results both you and I are hoping to achieve. You would most certainly be wasting your time and mine, as well as your hard earned money and then you would think that the care may not be as beneficial as it could have been for you.
This is one of the reasons that we have such a high success rate with mental disorders as well as many other malfunctions in the body.
It is this "start with the end goal in mind" attitude that allows us to be so successful with our patients and see the best results that they can possibly attain.
You asked about a success rate, well we have seen improvement of some sort at least in every single patient that has followed our recommendations. Many of those patients have seen much improvement or have gotten completely well. I have no question that this is probably what you are needing in your life, we would just need to examine you to be 100% sure but the odds are in your favor at this point. Now, since every patient is so different even if they have been given the same diagnosis medically or psychologically, even if they are the same gender and age, everyone heals at different rates and the only truthful that I can give you is that you will heal and improve and get well at your own personal rate. I am sorry to be so vague but I am here to tell you how it is and not how you would like it to be or what you expect me to say.
