QuestionHi, I am currently living out of country right now but I have been having big problems with knee and hip joint ache.
Before I came to Korea, (which is where I am at) I didn't have a knee/hip joint ache problem, but after I came to Korea I began to walk a lot and stand a lot. After a month or so my knee started to ache really badly right after work and the pain would still be there even after I took some rest. I have been in Korea for about 6 months now and the pain on my knee and hip joint is still there and it aches a lot whenever I walk a lot and stand for a long period of time. I am scared because I am only 23 and I feel like I am too young to have a serious case of arthritis.
Will Chiropractor treatment or a acupuncture treatment help me with this type of joint ache problem?
AnswerHello Jin,
Chiropractic and Acupuncture may help your condition. You are to young to have osteoarthritis (normal wear and tear) of the joints. You may be experiencing overuse symptoms due to the increased demand on your muscles and joints. A Doctor of Chiropractic will be able to determine the cause (muscular, joint, tendon, etc) of the pain through a exam. Chiropractors are the biomechanic experts of the joints, muscles, etc. and can adjust (restore alignment) the joint and work on the affected soft tissues. This will restore normal biomechanics of the joint/s and decrease stress/pressure on the joints. Acupuncture also helps reduce muscular tension and decrease pain.
Have a great day,
