QuestionI have a bad feeling about my chiropractor. He says I need rib adjustments and does them by making adjustments around my breasts. He is always discreet but I have a bad feeling. He said that the tissue under one breast is like a rope and needs massaged out. Am I wrong to question him? He has some type of metal device that he uses to make the adjustments so I never questioned him before this.
AnswerAngela,
The anterior ribs or ribs at your chest area can be adjusted as such. There are muscles under and around the breasts that may be "knotted" up causing pain and spasm to the chest area.
If you are concerned with the procedure or the person performing the procedure, you can always express your concern with the chiropractor or simply go to a female chiropractor. As long as you are comfortable and are getting better, than the procedure is proper.
