QuestionHello, I was just wondering the general time It takes for Cartilage in the rib cage to heal. This past November, I became quite Ill. It was until Early January. In the beginning, I was coughing at such extremes, I would see stars, and feel like I was about to pass out. This put much strain on my rib cage. One day I merely sneezed, felt an excruciating "pop". I went to the Doctor, and they had said I had cracked the cartilage in my ribcage. They gave me a steroid to help with the inflammation for a couple of days, and it helped at the time. Months later though, I still have large amounts of pain in my ribs. I take vitamins and supplements, I do participate in sports, but not every day. So why is it that my ribs still flare up like this?
AnswerCartilage can be very slow to heal, but there are some things you can do to speed it up. I would suggest you find a chiropractor that utilizes a low level laser. These can speed healing and cut pain dramatically. They can also check to see if it is a rib misalignment causing the pain and should be able to straighten it right out
