Question
QUESTION: sir. i was suffering from a neck ache sinnce a week. had a x-ray done. da findings were of a muscle spasm. i am suffering now from a tension in my right jaw, a skull base tension . and had minor palpitations inn my skull base. i have a little cold..is anything serious hapenning to me?

ANSWER: Akash,

From the description in your question it is possible that you have a subluxation in your upper neck. Sounds like it is an atlas (C1) level which is the first vertebrae in the neck area. If you have already been diagnosed with muscle spasm then you should seek a chiropractic exam to see if in fact that you have a subluxation in the neck area.

As far as your jaw there is a saying in the health care field and that is that you are allowed to have more than one thing wrong with you at a time. With that said you may have TMJ involvement.TMJ is the temperomandibular joint which is located just below and in front of your ear and is the hinge when you open your mouth. Your chiropractor can assess this at the same time that you have your neck examined. The good news is that more often than not your jaw pain may go away once you take care of your neck.

The most dangerous thing you can say to yourself is "I'll just give it some time and maybe it will go away". I suggest you seek care and get an examination immediately.

QUESTION: i am also having a minor skull pain at da top of my skull and a jaw pressure between my right eye and ear. and having minor headaches. well can dis be a tumor or something .... its passed 3 days i m havin dese symptoms......

Answer
Akash,

The only way to rule out any tumor 100% is to have an MRI of your head and neck. If in doubt you definitely should seek the care of a neurologist and tell him of your concerns.
