Question
I had a fall on my basement steps,saw chiropractor for the pain and he told me I had popped a rib,this was like 3 months ago have had tenderness to the spot ever sense but today Dec 23 i have alot of pain espically when i breath in and also with movement could you please possibly tell me whats going on,and what can do ?

Hi Lisa,
  It sounds exactly like a rib head is out. What you can do is take a deep breath In while you place downward pressure on the rib that hurts. If pain eases slightly or completely then it's your rib without question. Go back to your chiropractor and have it adjusted again. Did he/she xray you? MaYbe there is a fracture? Not much you can do for a fractured rib anyway. Of it comes out a lot then you mAy need to have the rib taped for a few weeks.
