Question
MRI report
Dear Dr.,
I have had a slip disc of the neck which is giving me partial numbness in my right hand thumb and the finger next to it. Pain also builds up in my right arm when i sleep. i attach along with a report on my MRI done. i would like to knwo if a CHiropractor can help me.
hoping you will answer my question even though it is a personal one as people here in India are not much convinced about chiropractory.
AnswerDear Hemant,
I would suggest that you find a chiropractor who employs Spinal Decompression. This is a specialty in chiropractic that addresses the type of disc herniations that you have. If you can not find a chiropractor with decompression then you must realize that you have a risk of disc herniation becoming aggravated with a chiropractic adjustment. Now I did not say it has to become aggravated but you stand a chance of this happening with an adjustment but on the other hand a chiropractic adjustment may be the best thing that you could do for your condition. That must be discussed with your chiropractor prior to you having an adjustment.
I suggest you get to a chiropractor and get an examination to see if you are a candidate for chiropractic care.
Other specialty chiropractic techniques would be the Proadjuster, Activator methods, Arthrostim adjusting.
The only thing medicine can offer you is medication and/or surgery which really has a poor outcome.
I hope this sheds some light on your health concerns.
