QuestionHello, iam a firefighter and an avid weekend warrior. I do alot of
crossfit/olympic weighlifting movements. Lately day after workout, i get
strained burning sort of visceral pn in my neck. When i roll my neck around
and around, u can hear crepitus, but only audible to me, it also kinda makes
me a bit dizzy. Not any numbness or tingling at all, but a lil dizzy when do
handstands. Iam 32, in Iraq right now, and love to workout, i got 4 months
left, what do u think it is, ruptured disc, pinched nerve? What should i do? My
life is working out, lol.

'Sounds to me like repetitive strain to the neck (or accumulative strain). Sometimes the dizziness, usually a nauseating wooziness, can accompany the pain. Some folks get a "heavy head" feeling. Basically, get it checked out by a chiropractor or PT if you've got any out there. Some deep soft tissue work to the neck and balancing out your exercises to focus on some that might be under-trained/weak (unlikely your push up or hand-stand muscles) would be helpful. Doubtful it's a ruptured disc or pinched nerve(that causes arm pain and numbness).
