Left hand numbness

Question
My left hand started to feel number over a week ago, especially on the pinky side.  My fingers go numb and tingle at times.  I went to the doctor just to make sure it was nothing serious, like ulnar nerve palsy. They said the nerve is probably just compressed and keep stretching it.   However, yesterday, I noticed my hand is getting weaker.  I could barely button my pants.  Also, when I hold my hand straight out and relax, my pinky sticks out way more than usual and it is hard to pull my fingers together.  Should I go back to the doctor or could it still just be a compressed ulnar nerve?

Answer
Your doctor is correct you have a pinched nerve in the lowest part of your neck. Stretching isn't going to fix that. He gave you a correct diagnosis but bad advice. Your spinal bone must be out of alignment pressing
On the nerve. You can take
Medicine but that will just mask your symptoms. You need a chiropractor to re- align the spine and remove pressure on that nerve. Don't go back to him if he will just give you medication or tell you to stretch it. Only chiropractors remove nerve pressure.
Good luck!
