Question
QUESTION: Do you know exactly how and what/technique massage you should be using to cure a slipped disk/pinched nerve?, the following are my MRI results:

MRI:
c5-6: degenerative disc signal 2mm posterior disc bulge extending greater to the left.  Mild neural foraminal narrowing on the left predominantly secondary to bulging intervertebral disc.

C6-7, C7-T1:  Mild straightening of the normal cervical lordosis.

Should you be using direct electromagnetic radiation on the part that's painfull?  Exactly where do you exactly place the pads?, is it possilble to purchase these Electro magnetic radiation pads, if so where?

Should you be sore around the bottom of your neck after initial massage/electro magnetic treatment of this?  I'm feeling a burning sensation on the bottom of my neck after all this sitting for a while on the computer.

Thanks in advance,

ANSWER: Hi,
First of all your title is Incorrect. There is no such thing as a slipped disc. Discs don't slip. Your condition may be helped a little by massage, but it will not reverse the degenerative changes. As for electro magnetic radiation, I haven't a clue what that is? Don't you mean electric muscle stimulation? Also known as a TENS unit??
If so, You should not use the pads near the vertebral artery and I would place them on your trapezius muscles.
The best thing to do for a deg. Disc is  chiropractic care ,mixed with massage and stretching and supplementation of chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine with msm.
Chiropractic will help slow progression of degenerative changes due to misalignment of vertebrae by re aligning the Joint and removing pressure on both the joint and disc complex and the nerve. Massage/stretching will keep surrounding muscles and tendons loose preventing subluxations.
Something new and innovative you can try would be chiropractic with cold laser.

QUESTION: Electromagnetic is Tens, and slipped caused the degenrattion.

Should you be feeling hot tingly around the bottom of your neck after initial massage?  What's this sensation, what you suppose to do to correct it?

Where exatctly should you be massaging and how for the following mri results:

c5-6: degenerative disc signal 2mm posterior disc bulge extending greater to the left.  Mild neural foraminal narrowing on the left predominantly secondary to bulging intervertebral disc.

C6-7, C7-T1:  Mild straightening of the normal cervical lordosis.

thanks again

Answer
As i said before you should consult a chiropractor for this advice. He needs to examine you and tell you the best stretches, and more importantly realign your spine.
If you have lost your cervical curve then you would want to start with stretching the anterior cervical muscles (ie: sterno-clavicular muscle).
No , you should not have that sensation after a massage. The reason you get that sensation after a massage is because when you massage the area it stimulates blood flow (and inflammation) causing the nerve to get irritated, hence the tingling and burning. I would be careful doing too much massage, especially if you have that sensation afterwards.
