QuestionHi,
I was playing football on Saturday morning (11/12/2010). I went to head the ball, and when I landed I got a hot pain around my lower neck.
I continued to play as the pain wasn't bad enough to stop. However, when I finished, the pain was very strong. I got back from the game and after my shower went to lie down, but the pain was very bad. I asked my friend to look at it, and she said it looks like my spine is twisted to the right. She then commented that my head looked like it was leaning to the side that my twisted spine was on. When I try and move the pain sometimes shoots down my arms and back.
Any ideas what I should do? I have had this pain before but not as bad.
Thank you,
Harry
AnswerYou may have just misaligned a vertebrae, leading to muscle spasm, or it could also be something more serious, eg. herniated disc. I would try a good chiropractor...they should be able to assess it and treat, or refer out if it is something requiring more attention
