QuestionBetween my lower back, hips and right foot inflamation...I am continually in pain. I don't know if the foot thru the back out, or visa versa. Initally tried inserts, new shoes, injections for foot to no avail. Went to foot dr...received cortizone shots, anti-inflam meds and then "the boot". Wore it to work one day, back in extreme pain since. Am 53, work hard at custodial job.Help
AnswerIt's possible that by walking awkwardly on your sore foot that you threw your back out. Although, i am sure you had some problems with your lower back way before your foot problem. most people do and don't even know it.
i find orthotics are made incorrectly on a regular basis. i would look at the site footlevelers.com and find a practitioner that uses that machine. the orthotics made by that technology are soft. If you have hard orthotics then they will most likely not help you. If you live in nyc we use that in our office, and the company guarantees their orthotics for 6 weeks.
As for your back you should see a chiropractor to deal with that problem first, if that doesn't help (make sure you follow chiro's directions and give it at least 6 weeks for results) many chiros also use the footlevelers technology (again go to the website or call footlevelers to find someone)
another option you can use for the plantar fascitis is cold laser therapy. this can be extremely effective. typically it is inexpensive and you MUST do it at least 10 days in a row to get results.
cold laser is very effective for any tendonitis issue. plantar fascitis is tendonitis of the plantar fascia.
good luck!
