Question
Can you pleae tell me whtat this means?

Post surgical changes of a posterior laminectomy and interbody graft placement are noted at L4-L5 and L5-S1. There is extensive osteophytic spurring at both of these levels on the left side, resulting in severe left neural foraminal stenosis at the L4-L5 and moderate left neural foraminal stenosis at the L5-S1.
There is severe intervertebral disc space narrowing at L5-S1. There is evidence of a previous laminectomy of the L4-L5 and L5-S1 with the placement of interbody grafts. The grafts are located toward the left side of the disc margin. Prominent briding lateral osteophytes are noted at both the areas. The l5-s1 is to a lesser degree than L4-L5.

What ever this means will it account for the pain level to be elevated if. Have lots of problems with the left hip in the groain area or joint area oif the hip. Unable to walk or stand for very long and if I do I hurt like blue blazes for the next two- three days.

Answer
You had laminectomy surgery and now have significant arthritis at those spinal levels operated on. Arthritis is prominent on the left side causing a pinch or enclosed foramina (space where the nerve exits from the spine). You have severe to moderate nerve pressure as a result of the severe arthritis and you also have severe disc degeneration.
Yes. This is why you have pain. Surgery usually doesn't fix the problem. Statistics are not in your favor. Post surgery 3 out of 5 people have as much if not more pain 5 years later.
I would not recommend another surgery. You may want to try an aggressive approach of cold laser therapy. When I say aggressive I mean 15-20 treatments in a row , everyday for 3-4 weeks straight or pain management. I wish you the best.
