Question
Hello, Male 40years I seem to have been suffering from chest pains for over 2 years now. Have had 2 trips to a&e with chest pain so have had chest x-rays and ecgs and bloods done to rule out heart attacks and also 2 treadmill stress tests and all cameback ok.

But i still have chest pain my doctor has told me a few years ago i had costochondritis and that seems to have settled down now.

But I still seem to have strange pains located around the center of my chest if i sit relaxed i find that the center of my chest feels like it locks up goes very tight and find it hard to move and take a deep breath , i find i have to wriggle my shoulders a bit until my chest cracks and then i can move freely but the area still remains sore for awhile. And also if i stretch and lean back at the same time it feels like my something catches/pinches just upper from the center of the chest and take a while for the pain/soreness to go.

I sleep hugging a pillow so not to put stain on my chest but not much seems to help.

have you any ideas

Answer
chris, it is most likely your chostrochondritis acting up again. you probably also have some ribs out of alignment. i would get low level laser therapy or cold laser for that and it will clear up. you may also want to have your spine adjusted (ribs attach to the spine). another option is take over the counter anti inflammatories (ibuprofen, alleve, motrin)
