Question
I have been diagnosed with C7 T1 disc bulge what would  be your advice can a chiropractor help me  . they have referred me to a neurosurgeon I'm trying to avoid that...thank you for your time

Answer
Varoush,

This depends on whether you have neurologic signs or not.  Neuro' signs mean that you have lost one of your reflexes, and/or you have lost strength, or have shown muscle atrophy.   Simply having pain or tingling (for example) is not enough of a reason to go to the neurosurgeon.   At C7/T1, you are likely to find weakness in the triceps, or maybe weakness and atrophy in your chest/pectoral muscles.   If you do not have positive neuro' signs, and just pain, then you do not need to go directly to the surgeon.   If it is a fresh bulge and is inflamed, then time and medicines might prove helpful.  If it is a long-standing bulge that has simply become worse, and you have no neuro' signs, then you should consider seeing the chiropractor before doing anything else.    See if you can find someone on this list:   www.westhartfordgroup.com
If you have advanced joint degeneration and have tried all sorts of methods, that might be why you were send right to the surgeon.   Since I don't know anything at all about you, such as your age, health status, other MRI findings, etc, I simply cannot give you any other advice.
