Question
I have neck pain rising into the back of the head for over 2 years now. I get irritation at the crown of the head and have lightheaded feelings of slight imbalance with occasional temple & forehead pain.I have had trigger point injections in both sides of my neck with botox but with little or no improvement.I have being prescribed Cymbalta and Neurontin witch have not really helped. Also had sessions of physio but still symptoms persist. A pain specialist recommended Lyria which has helped a little with the irritation but feelings still persist. It has got me down over the last years and made me anxious that things are not improving. I had MRI of the cervical spine which shows some cervical sponlyosis and also an MRI of the brain which was normal.

Answer
Mark,

You definitely should seek a physical examination by a competent Chiropractor. The history you have presented is from Subluxated vertebrae or the bones in your neck causing "pinched Nerves" which can be the cause of your neck pain, head pain and even the dizziness/light head feelings.

The MRI findings of spondylosis more than likely are tell tale-tell signs that you have had these Subluxations for a long time.

Dont walk to the Chiropractor...RUN

Please look up the medications you are taking and especially look at the side effects section-Try http://www.webMD.com

I hope this helps you in your medical decision making process.

Sincerely,
Dr John Q Quackenbush DC MUAC
