QuestionHi!
I have been suffering from costochondritis for about 5 years due to popping my sternum. The top two bones of my sternum rubbed on themselves, in and out of place, and then back. This triggered my costochondritis which I cannot recover from. I have tried everything recommended. I get random stabbing pains in my intercostal spaces so bad that I cannot move or breathe. I have just recently been struggling with pain that is severe and constant, and I cannot shake it. I also struggle with sciatic nerve pain that shoots down my lower back and all the way down my left leg. I was wondering if there is a connection between the sciatica and the costochondritis?
thanks!
Answerno most likely they are separate issues.
your costochondritis is often times flared up or aggravated if you have mis alignments in your spine (between the shoulder blades). all your ribs wrap around the body and connect to not only your sternum in the front, but they attach to the spine as well. you must see a chiropractor for that ASAP. if you want the issue to heal fast see a chiropractor with cold laser therapy and have that done. be on top of your visits to get the most out of your care. For the sciatica you need to see a chiropractor anyway. Try and find one that uses laser.
you say you've tried everything they recommended, but i guarantee you have not tried chiropractic with cold laser. good luck!!!
