Question
Hi, My poor 38 yr. old husband has had chronic back pain for a little over a year. No one is able to diagnose the problem. He went to a chiropractor for months, she admits she can't help. He went to our family dr.(suspects degenerative) He sent him to an ortho. surgeon- PT given for 4 weeks-no relief. He was sent to a spine surgeon 2 epiduals-no help, last visit the spine dr. said he can't find the cause-he did have a cat-scan. Dr. says maybe more PT., but really does'nt have the answer. My hubby does'nt like meds. especially long term. He does have a (list) all the time & is crooked like an (S). Do you have any advice? Thanks!

I Send your Hubby my deepest reguards. I do know what It is like. For I do have to feel this same way Everyday too!
Fortunatly, I get to have mine fused On the 17th, Of july.
As for your Hubby! Can you ask him If he remember's, Way back, A year ago, Maybe, He can remember " HOW " He hurt it!
Maybe, He Did something to cause this, Somehow? Your doctor just might be right, I don't know. He just might have " DEGENERATION". I do! I have 5 Of them. Neato!!!
Anyway! Here's what I would do, I would get myself a second opinion. Just because you want to get one doesn't mean you are being distrustful to your existing physician. It just means you are requiring  solid answer's to the questions you have for the quality of your health care. Remember! CINDY, Nobody's going to offer to make sure that your husband is getting the proper care, Also NOBODY'S Going to make sure, That he has all his options, A different Doctor might, Just might say something different, That just might make the difference to not only your husband, But to you too! there are a ton of thing's available to him, Let them be available to him, If there not, Then how will he be able to choose them.
