QuestionI had a whiplash neck injury in 1995 and have had chronic pain ever since. In the past year, I have started experiencing numbness and tingling in the left side of my face, neck and down into my arm. Also if I turn my head to the right to look over my shoulder, I get this burning sensation in my face. Do you think this is all related or might this facial numbness be something altogether different?
AnswerDear Brenda,
I all sounds related to muscular tensions set up in your neck at the time of the injury.
Your symptoms can be relieved by recovering the ability to relax those muscles.
The subject is discussed in more detail in the article on whiplash injuries on somatics.com/page4.htm, and a course of action is provided.
Hope you feel better, soon.
