Question
Hello Mr. Rozeboom,

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. For the past few months I've been getting this tingling sensations in my middle back near the side of my spine when I lifting. Is this something to be concerned about?

Thanks

Thanks for writing!

A tingling sensation indicates a nerve. Did you get hit there or twist in such a way as to dislocate a rib? This can stretch a nerve and make it tingle. Or the tingling could be caused by your back bone being displaced in such a way that the nerves cannot do what they are supposed to do.

If this turns into a muscle cramp, I would try some magnesium sulfate to give the body the food it needs to relax.

A good chiropractor could check this out for you and provide a solution. I will see if I can find a referral to a good chiropractor in your area if you wish. Please let me know.
