Question
I have had 2 major falls on my back due to wet stairs. My first around 1992 and the second in 1996. Had x-rays done and nothing. No breaks so they say. Now since 1998 i have been going to see a chiropractor.21 times now since may 2005and its only the start of Nov. Had x-rays done in May and i have bone spurs in my neck,Dr. says its all normal for a 35 yr. old. How true? My problem is this. My c- vertabrae always go out of wack,my rib cage dislocates either right or left and can cause severe pain to lift or even breath.Head can lock in place then i'm done for 2 weeks or longer. I'm tired of not knowing why it keeps doing this and being in constant pain. I believe i may also have some form of arthritis in my hands, knees and ankles. So could this be a sign for osteoarthritis in the spine as well? If so- what kind of Dr. should i see? Cause my regular MD doesn't seem to know what she is doing?

Thanks for writing!

With the cervical spine and the thoraic spine and ribs going out of wack like that, I suspect an instability where your hip bone hooks to your back bone. This can give a person a lot of pain. And can easily be caused or aggravated by falls such as you describe.

I suggest you change chiropractors. Go to http://www.sorsi.com and http://www.ica-usa.com and search for a chiropractor near you. The proper adjustment should make you feel better right away.

Dr. Rozeboom.
