Question
I injured my back at work 9-9-05, while lifting. Popping sound in low back with pain, stinging, burning, that then radiated down right leg to foot. I have had a CT,MRI,EMG, and bloodwork. All normal, with only thing noted on MRI.."mild straightening of lordosis, possibly due to spasm". After 2 steroid injections and 12 PT visits, no change. DR has now ordered a CT- Myelogram, mentioned possible surgery. DR Insists that must be disc related due to symptoms, regardless or normal tests. Can you give me any ideas on other possible causes for my symptoms?

Thanks for writing!

This is indeed a sciatica which may be due to a disc or it could be a bone or it could be a muscle. So a differential diagnosis is needed.

Regardless of workman's compensation or no compensation, I would suggest strongly that you get to a good chiropractor who can do a proper diagnosis and fix it.

Go to www.sorsi.com or www.icak-usa.com and find one near you.

Dr. Rozeboom.
