i have always had back pain then about 4 months ago my left leg swelled and is very painfuli have spent thousands of dollars trying to find out whats wrong from heart cat to blood clots  nothing shows well i had a mri on my back and leg and this is the report and what does this mean my docton suggest a biopsy of my muscle in leg what do you think. findings on back.  mild chronic wedge compression deformities of T10 and T11 very small schmorls nodes indent the endplates from T9 T10 through T12 L1. mild posterior bulging at T10 T11 mild facet arthropathy noted at L4 L5  what does this mean and should i see a back doctor? now the findings of left leg there is mild diffuse edema in the subcutaneous fat of the left leg  no focal fluid collection is seen no muscle signal abnormalities. no bone or soft tissue mass are visualized .no definite lopoma. impression mild nonspecitic edema throught the left leg.so what does this mean and do you think my leg is related to my back? thank you very much i just dont know to do anymore or what doctors to see next.

Thanks for writing!

These reports mean that the cushions between the bones in your back, particularly those between your shoulders, are being compressed and a starting to squash. The bones in that area are also getting squashed down. This is so much the case that some of them are moving back into the area where your spinal cord is.

In the leg, they see absoluetly nothing that could be causing the leg to swell. So the problem is not in the leg.

The back condition could defintely cause the leg to swell. It is like your head is being drawn down againist your low back, the whole spine is squashing down.

The best back doctor to see is a good chiropractor. Go to www.sorsi.com or www.icak.com and see if you can find one near you. Also you might try www.soto-usa.com if none are on the other two.

They will review your mri and your health history and take effective steps to restore your health.
