Question
I had a scoliosis test done, below is my results but they don't tell ME much.  Do they mean I have three curves?  I would appreciate any information you can give me, thanks.


Findings: AP and lateral views of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spince were performed.  When measured from the top of T1 to the bottom of T5, 10 degrees of scoliosis of the upper thoracic spine is seen convex to the left.  When measured from the bottom of T5 to the top of L1, 6 degrees of scoliotic curvature of the mid thoracic spince convex to the left is seen.  When measured from the top of L1 to the bottom of L4, 10 degrees of scoliosis of the mid lumbar spince convex to the left is seen.  On the lateral view, no vertebal anomalies are identified.

Without seeing the xrays myself, I'm only guessing.  It sounds like you have one curve to the left from T1-L4, kind of C-shaped.  I strongly suggest seeing a chiropractor to help with this situation.  We have and invested speciality in the spine and treat these problems daily.  If you don't see a chiropractor, go to www.sorsi.com to find a doctor near you.  I am part of this group and we use a low to no force technique that works great for scoliosis.  If you are in Minnesota near the Twin Cities or if you have any other questions or concerns, please email me.
