QuestionI had a scoliosis test done, below is my results but they don't tell ME much. Do they mean I have three curves? I would appreciate any information you can give me, thanks.
Findings: AP and lateral views of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spince were performed. When measured from the top of T1 to the bottom of T5, 10 degrees of scoliosis of the upper thoracic spine is seen convex to the left. When measured from the bottom of T5 to the top of L1, 6 degrees of scoliotic curvature of the mid thoracic spince convex to the left is seen. When measured from the top of L1 to the bottom of L4, 10 degrees of scoliosis of the mid lumbar spince convex to the left is seen. On the lateral view, no vertebal anomalies are identified.
AnswerDear Crooked:
Ok! Here are the basics.
They took two X-rays of your spine. One was from the front of the body toward the back, straight through from front to back. The other was from one side.
Were you standing or lying down at the time these X-rays were taken? That would make a huge difference.
The Xray they took from the side looks normal to them. On the other one, the top of the spine near the base of the neck bends to the left. In the middle of the spine, between the shoulder blades it bend to the left again but not as much. In the low back, it curves left again.
I am not recalling the numbers that make the difference between scoliosis and just a bent spine but the 10 degrees mention sounds small enough to be in the bent spine category.
These bending indicate the ligaments are soft, an estrogen excess and a manganese deficiency are at fault in that.
Go and get the X-rays and take them and hold them up in front of a window or other light source. You can see for yourself it is not rocket science, it is just straight or crooked.
If you want a second opinion, go to www.sorsi.com ,www.icak.com and www.soto-usa.com and find a good chiropractor near you. Get them to look at it , they do not do surgery and so will not be pushing you to do an irreversible thing.
Does this answer your question?
